Very tedious and the hitboxes are very weird. Audio started to distort after about a few minutes. Jump timing is also extremely annoying - there were times that I connected with the ground and had no buttons pressed but still jumped. Respawn window is also very odd - sometimes I would spawn mid jump if I died while pressing the jump button. As a beginner's learning project though very impressive.

Decent! Maybe a little too simplistic for now, I really didn't have much of any difficulty figuring things out on the first try of every level. Would love to see more complicated levels!

A little rough around the edges at some spots, like friendly NPCs not attacking or refusing to use healing effects. But overall very fun to play! One thing I don't quite get, is it possible to solve more than one riddle?

VicBiss responds:

There are definitely some issues with the wizard ai. Right now they overvalue applying status effects and don't necessarily take into account what the status effect does. I wanted to update this near the end of development, but the way the game works, the amount of exp your wizard earns is tied to the 'value' (how much damage, healing and status effects applied) of the spell they used. So I was hesitant to make the status effects worth less as it would effect the entire level progression and I'd have to do multiple more test rounds. I might update this someday.

Beyond that, 'dumbness' is a part of the game engine. Ideally, wizards with higher 'Wisdom' stats will be better at finding good moves to make. I wanted to keep the game running quickly, so wizards don't look at all of their possible moves. They randomly choose a number of possible moves to look at based on their wisdom stat, evaluate those moves and choose. I recently did lower this value to help performance issues. I guess there's a reason some of those old tactical RPGs have the enemy turns take so long, haha.

And it's just the one riddle, was meant to be a joke but it seems to be the consensus that it is confusing over funny. Thanks for playing! :)

Pretty simple to play but so addictive!

I'm not sure there's any real strategy to this game as of yet but it certainly kept me captivated for quite a while. Looking forward to seeing it as it develops!

I really liked this one! I've gone through it a few times now.

Lagged so bad it was unplayable.

CleitonEldorn responds:

It must be a bug, the final version is not gonna be a web game, I believe it is a browser related error for some people.

Pretty neat little game! The music gets repetitive after a while and sometimes I felt I was just guessing to get the solution, but overall pretty solid!

Actually in love with this. Gonna follow this for sure. One small bug - the music cut out completely after my first run.

MadNukin responds:

I think this issue should have been fixed in version 0.3.3
Glad you love it :)

Neat little game! Definitely gonna keep my eye on this.

I do Chiptune covers and some original music! Also the rare mashup or two. You can listen to my music on YouTube and you can download some of my albums for free from Bandcamp!
